No person shall operate, or cause to be operated, any boat or
other conveyance at a speed of over six miles per hour and in such
a manner as to endanger the life or safety of other persons or their
property within the coastal waters of the Town of Kennebunkport. Said
coastal waters are defined as follows:
CAPE PORPOISE HARBOR AND TURBATS CREEK
All the waters and estuaries enclosed by the mainland and
a line beginning at the southerly extremity of the point owned by
Dr. Mahany (Nestler's Point) and running through the westerly and
southerly extremities of Stage Island, thence southerly through the
westerly extremity of Cape Island, thence southwesterly through the
easterly extremities of Trott and Goat Islands, thence westerly through
the southerly extremities of Folly Island, Green Island and Vaughn
Island, thence westerly to the mainland and at the westerly side of
the entrance to Turbats Creek.
GOOSE ROCKS BAY
All the waters, rivers and estuaries enclosed by the mainland
and a line beginning in the middle of Little River Channel adjacent
to the southerly extremity of Timber Island and running westerly through
the easterly extremities of the Eastern Goose Rocks and the Western
Goose Rocks, thence westerly to the mainland at the southerly side
of the entrance to Batson's River at Marshall's Point (Kneeland).
This article extends the provisions of the 1930 ordinance of
said Town, which applies only to the waters of the Kennebunk River,
to the additional waters defined.
The minimum fine for each violation of this article shall be
$50.
