Pursuant to §§ 61.195, 61.197 and 66.0101, Wis. Stats., the Village elects not to be governed by those portions of § 61.27, Wis. Stats., which relate to the selection and tenure of the Village Assessor and which are in conflict with this article.
Hereinafter the Assessor shall be appointed by the President, subject to confirmation by a vote of 2/3 of the members-elect of the Village Board.
The term of office of the Assessor shall be two years and until his successor is appointed and qualifies. Such term of office shall commence on May 1 succeeding his or her appointment.
The Assessor shall have the duties of Assessor as prescribed by the statutes and subject to such other rules and regulations as shall be prescribed by the Village Board.

Whenever the Assessor in the performance of the Assessor's duties requests or obtains income and expense information pursuant to § 70.47(7)(af), Wis. Stats., or any successor statute thereto, then such income and expense information that is provided to the Assessor shall be held by the Assessor on a confidential basis; except, however, that said information may be revealed to and used by persons in the discharging of duties imposed by law; in the discharge of duties imposed by office (including, but not limited to, use by the Assessor in performance of official duties of the Assessor's office and use by the Board of Review in performance of its official duties); or pursuant to order of a court. Income and expense information provided to the Assessor under § 70.47(7)(af), Wis. Stats., unless a court determines that it is inaccurate, is, per § 70.47(7)(af), Wis. Stats., not subject to the right of inspection and copying under § 19.35(1), Wis. Stats.

The following Village officers are subject to appointment by the Village Board upon nomination or recommendation by the Village President. They shall serve until their successors have been appointed unless dismissed for cause and shall not be required to be residents of such Village.
The powers and duties of the Village Clerk shall be as prescribed by § 61.25, Wis. Stats., as well as other duties as required by the Village Board or the Director of Administrative Services.
The powers and duties of the Village Treasurer shall be as set out in § 61.26, Wis. Stats., as well as other duties as required by the Village Board or the Director of Administrative Services.
The Village Board shall have the power to appoint deputy clerks and deputy treasurers upon nomination or recommendation of the Village President and by a majority vote of the Village Board. The Deputy Clerk and/or Deputy Treasurer shall have the power of the Clerk or Treasurer, respectively, in his or her absence or disability.
The Director of Administrative Services' duties shall at a minimum include the following:
A. 
Develop Village personnel policies and procedures, including a plan of administrative organization.
B. 
Make recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees for the appointment of administrative officers to be appointed by the Board of Trustees.
C. 
Supervise and coordinate the functions and duties of all administrative officers.
D. 
Attend all Board of Trustees meetings and such other meetings as directed by the President or Board. The Director shall have the right to take part in discussions, except those personally related to him/her, but shall have no vote.
E. 
Have authority to review all records, routines and working hours of all employees and recommend to the Board of Trustees administrative control routines that will best promote efficiency and economy.
F. 
Recommend to the Board of Trustees for adoption such measures as may be deemed necessary or expedient to carry out the terms and conditions of any contracts in which the Village is interested or in which it is a party.
G. 
Assist with and coordinate day-to-day activities in Village Hall.
H. 
Prepare and submit the annual budget and capital improvement program to the Board of Trustees.
I. 
Perform such other duties as may be prescribed by this article or any other ordinance or resolution of the Board of Trustees.
This article shall take effect and be in full force from and after passage and posting.
