(a) 
Bowling means any of the various games in which balls are rolled on an alley or lane at an object or group of objects, usually tenpins, duckpins, candlepins or the like.
(b) 
Bowling alley means any lane or alley or group of lanes or alleys upon which games of bowling may be conducted.
(c) 
Pool or Billiards mean the several games played on a table known as a pool table or billiard table, surrounded by an elastic ledge or cushion, with or without pockets, with balls which are impelled by a cue. Such terms shall include all forms of the game known as carom billiards, pocket billiards, three cushion billiards and English billiards and all other games played on a billiard table and also include the games known as snooker, fifteen ball pool, eight ball pool, bottle pool, pea-pool and all other games played on a pool table and all games played on a so-called pigeon-hole table.
(d) 
Pool Room or Billiard Room means any public, semi-public, or private place, including private clubs, but excluding individual residences, where the game of pool or billiards is played or permitted to be played.

(a) 
No person shall maintain, conduct or operate any pool room or pool table, billiard room or billiard table or bowling alley without first obtaining the required license.
(b) 
Nothing in this article shall be construed to apply to any pool tables, billiard tables or bowling alleys maintained for private use without any profit in an individual's residence.

(a) 
The application for a license required by this article shall be in writing and accompanied by a certified check or cash in the amount of the license fee.[1]

(b) 
The application shall set forth:
(1) 
The location and description of the room or premises where the licensed activity will be conducted;
(2) 
The full name and address of all interested persons therein; and,
(3) 
The number of pool or billiard tables or bowling alleys to be used.
(c) 
Upon approval of the application by the Mayor, the License Bureau shall issue such license, but only to the actual proprietor of the licensed business room or premises.
The License Bureau shall not issue or transfer a license until the premises to be licensed have been inspected and approval given to the applications by the designated inspecting authorities.

Every license granted under this article shall be issued for a period of one (1) year from June 1 to the last day of May of the following year.
No license to maintain, conduct or operate a pool table, billiard table, or bowling alley shall be transferred without the consent of the Mayor or his designee.
Every license required by this article shall be displayed at all the times by the licensee in a conspicuous place in the pool room, billiard room or bowling alley.
(a) 
The Police Division shall have access at all reasonable times to all pool and billiard rooms and bowling alleys and shall periodically inspect all pool and billiard rooms and bowling alleys for compliance with the Article.
(b) 
The police officers shall carry credentials and if refused entry on such premises, shall obtain search warrants for the inspections.[1]

(a) 
Persons who shall conduct or operate any pool room or billiard room shall be allowed to operate the same and remain open for any game of pool or billiards to be played therein only during the following hours for the respective days set forth:
(1) 
Monday through Thursday - 8 A.M. until 1 A.M. the following day.
(2) 
Friday and Saturday - 8 A.M. until 2 A.M. the following day.
(3) 
Sunday - 1 P.M. until 1 A.M. the following day.
(b) 
Persons who shall conduct or operate any bowling alley shall be allowed to operate the same and remain open for any bowling to be played therein only during the following hours for the respective days set forth:
(1) 
Sunday through Thursday - 8 A.M. until 1 A.M. the following day.
(2) 
Friday through Saturday - 8 A.M. until 2 A.M. the following day.

No pool tables, billiard tables or bowling alleys shall be maintained, conducted or operated for profit within two hundred (200) feet of the entrance of any place of worship or school.
(a) 
No child under eighteen (18) years of age shall be permitted to remain in any pool or billiard room for the purpose of playing pool, billiards or similar games or to frequent, go or remain in any pool or billiard room unless the child is accompanied by his parent or guardian. No child shall hold himself out to be over eighteen (18) years of age for the purpose of being permitted to play pool or billiards.
(b) 
No proprietor, operator, manager or employee of any pool or billiard room shall permit a child under eighteen (18) years of age to remain in any pool or billiard room.
(c) 
No parent, legal guardian or other adult person having the care or control of a child under eighteen (18) years of age shall knowingly permit such child to violate this article.
