It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of eighteen
(18) years to remain in or upon any public place or establishment
after the hour of 10:00 p.m. on each and every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday until 6:00 a.m. of the following morning, and
after the hour of 11:00 p.m. on each and every Friday and Saturday
until 6:00 a.m. of the following morning, unless accompanied by the
parent, guardian or other adult person having the care, custody or
control of such minor, or unless engaged in, or traveling to or from,
a business occupation which the laws of this State authorizes minors
to perform.

It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of 18 years
of age to be permitted in any public place, street or property in
the Township of Winslow beginning October 30 through October 31 after
8:00 p.m., or to solicit any gifts or treats from any of the residents
or business establishments of the Township of Winslow after 8:00 p.m.
on the days commonly known as "Mischief Night" and "Halloween."

It shall not be considered to be a violation of Section
120-1 if a minor under the age of eighteen (18) years is engaged in any of the following during the restricted curfew hours set forth therein:
A. Errands involving medical emergencies;
B. Attendance at extracurricular school activities;
C. Participation in cultural, educational and/or social events sponsored
by religious or community-based organizations as those terms are defined
herein.

It shall be unlawful for the parent, guardian or any person having the care, custody and control of any minor under the age of eighteen (18) years to permit such child to remain in or upon any public place or establishment during any of the prohibited hours set forth in Section
120-1 of this chapter, unless accompanied by such parent, guardian or other person having the care, custody and control of such minor.

No operator of any establishment or his agents or employees shall knowingly permit any minor to remain upon the premises of said establishment during any of the prohibited hours set forth in Section
120-1 of this chapter.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
CULTURAL EVENT
A live performance that is devoted to the public exposition
of a work of art, music, or literature including exhibitions, plays
and other theatrical performances, concerts, and similar exhibitions
performed at theaters, arenas, stadiums, and educational institutions.

ESTABLISHMENT
Any privately owned place of business carried on for profit
or any place of amusement or entertainment to which the public is
invited.
EXTRACURRICULAR SCHOOL ACTIVITY
An event that is outside the regular curriculum or program
of courses of study, including athletic, cultural, and other events
of official school clubs and organizations.

MEDICAL OR OTHER EMERGENCY
An unforeseen combination or circumstances or the resulting
state that calls for immediate action. This term shall include, but
is not limited to, a fire, natural disaster, vehicular accident, or
serious medical condition of a sudden onset.

MINOR
Any person under the age of eighteen (18) years.
OPERATOR
Any individual, firm, association, partnership or corporation
operating, managing or conducting any establishment; and whenever
used in any clause prescribing a penalty, the term "operator" as applied
to association or partnership shall include the members or partners
thereof, and as applied to a corporation, shall include the officers
thereof.
PARENT
Any natural parent of any minor, a guardian or any adult
person of the age of twenty-one (21) years or over responsible for
the care, custody and control of any minor.
PUBLIC PLACE
Any public street, highway, road, alley, park, playground,
wharf, dock, public building or vacant lot.
REMAIN
To loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in or upon.
SOCIAL EVENT
An activity consisting of a gathering or party or similar
event given by an organized group within the community such as religious,
school, cultural, civic, community-based or government organization.

TIME
Shall always be the prevailing time.
Any police officer who apprehends and charges a minor violating any provisions of §
120-1 shall obtain from such minor information as to his name, address and age and the name of his parents or parent. He shall thereupon notify said parent or parents of said minor of said violation, and said minor shall be turned over to the custody of his parent or parents pending disposition of said charge by the proper juvenile authorities.

Any minor, operator or parent hereunder who shall violate any
of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof,
be punishable by sentence of community service and a fine not exceeding
one thousand dollars ($1,000.) or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding
ninety (90) days, or both.
