A code regulating the installation, maintenance, repair and control of the plumbing of buildings, and the connection thereof with outside sewers, regulating the practice of plumbing and the issuance of licenses to practice plumbing, is hereby established pursuant to the provisions of R.S. 26:3-69.
The code adopted by this chapter is described and commonly known as the Plumbing Code of New Jersey (Revised 1964) as amended April 29, 1966.
Three copies of the Plumbing Code of New Jersey (Revised 1964), and amendment thereto dated April 29, 1966, shall be on file in the office of the borough clerk for the use and examination of the public.
The following parts of the plumbing code are hereby excepted from the provisions of this chapter: Section E-1400, subsection 14.6, Title - Board of Plumber Examiners. Section E-900, subsection 9-1.3(a) and (b). Section 300, subsection 3.4(c).
In connection with the provisions of this chapter and the code hereby established, the following fees shall be charged and received:
For the examination of any applicant for license as master plumber, $50.00.
For the issuance and renewal of a license as a master plumber, $25.00. For the filing of plans for a proposed plumbing work, $2.00.
For the issuance of a permit for a proposed plumbing construction or alteration, $3.00 per fixture.
In addition to the $2.00 filing fee set forth in the third paragraph of this section, a fee of $10.00 shall be charged for the issuance of a permit for the installation of a sewer connection.
In addition to the $2.00 filing fee set forth in the third paragraph of this section, a fee of $10.00 shall be charged for the issuance of a permit for the installation of a water connection to the public water system.
For each reinspection of plumbing work caused by failure of licensee to provide the provisions of the code or permit issued, $10.00.
For reinspection not covered in the preceding paragraph, a fee of $2.00 for each reinspection.
Building sewers and laterals shall be of cast iron, joint shall be tight and root proof, joints shall be calked and poured with lead.
