The Blawnox Borough Council hereby creates the office of Independent
Auditor.

Provisions, Art. I)]
The Independent Auditor is appointed biennially by motion at
the Council reorganization meeting. A letter of engagement is done
in the off year.
The Independent Auditor shall be a certified public accountant,
registered in Pennsylvania, or a firm of certified public accountant,
registered in Pennsylvania, or a competent public accountant or competent
firm of public accountants.
The compensation of the Independent Auditor shall be fixed annually
pursuant to the appointing resolution.

The Independent Auditor shall make an independent examination
of the accounting records of the Borough for each fiscal year and
shall also perform the other duties and exercise the powers conferred
upon the office by 8 Pa.C.S.A. § 1059.11.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances which have inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed.
This chapter shall become effective on the January 15, 1996.
