Permission will be granted by the Town Board
to community and not-for-profit organizations to use Elton Park under
the following conditions:
A. Written
application shall be made to the Town Board at least one month prior
to the event, outlining what the event is, date and time. (The Town
Board meets twice per month and action on any application will be
taken at a scheduled meeting.)
B. The sponsoring
organization shall be responsible for cleaning up the park after their
event, as near as possible to the condition in which they found it.
C. There will
be no fee for using the park.
D. The sponsoring
organization shall supply the Town with a certificate of insurance
naming the Town of Bloomfield as a coinsured for the date(s) of the
scheduled event. Such certificate shall be filed in the Town Clerk’s
office at least one week prior to the event.
E. Prohibited
activities.
(1) No firearms
or weapons of any variety, including air rifles, archery equipment
and implements, slingshots, splat balls or similar weapons, are permitted
except for use by authorized law enforcement officials.
(2) No fireworks
are permitted on Town park property.
(3) There
will be no alcoholic beverages allowed in this park.
(4) No peddling,
selling or hawking of merchandise of any kind is allowed without prior
authorization by the Town Board.
(5) Smoking
is not permitted in any building or outdoor area. This restriction
includes the use of all forms of tobacco, including cigarettes, cigars,
pipes, e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products, such as snuff,
snus and chewing tobacco.
