East Hanover Township, by and through its authority and relationship with the aforesaid Emergency Service Providers, hereby recognizes the existing authority and authorizes the aforesaid Emergency Service Providers to recover the reasonable costs of firefighting materials, rescue equipment, and emergency apparatus used in responding to any safety or rescue incident or operation, including all motor vehicle accidents.
A Schedule of Emergency Response Fees for materials and for the use of equipment and apparatus by any of the aforesaid Emergency Service Providers shall be presented to the East Hanover Township Supervisors by the Ono Fire Company[1] for review and approval from time to time.

Amendments and revisions to the Schedule of Emergency Response Fees attached hereto[1] may be adopted by the Supervisors of East Hanover Township by resolution from time to time and shall be deemed to be reasonable fees when approved by resolution of the Supervisors.

Said reasonable fees contained in the Schedule of Emergency Response Fees may be recovered directly by the Ono Fire Company, or through the Township with the consent of the Supervisors, or by agreement with a collection agency, provided such agreement is approved in advance by motion of the Supervisors.
Fees collected by the Ono Fire Company for materials, equipment or apparatus provided by another Emergency Services Provider shall be remitted to that provider if and when collected.
In addition to the aforementioned reasonable costs, the aforesaid Emergency Service Providers, Township or collection agency shall be authorized to collect legal interest of 6% per year, as well as a reasonable administrative fee for collecting the same and any and all additional fees as may be authorized by any other statute, case law or common law.
Charges incurred hereunder may be collected directly by the Ono Fire Company or by its duly authorized collection agency at the Office of the Magisterial District Judge by prosecuting an action in the name of the Township.
This article shall be effective November 20, 2006.
