As used in this chapter, unless otherwise stated the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE
Any vehicle propelled otherwise than by muscular power, including trailers, semi-trailers or other types of vehicles designed to be drawn by a motor vehicle, except such vehicles as fall within the definition of "passenger car" as defined herein.
PASSENGER CAR
A motor vehicle designed for carrying 10 passengers or less and primarily used for the transportation of persons.
SCHOOL BUS
Any vehicle used either on a full-time or part-time basis for the transportation of students to or from school or a school-related activity, except such vehicles as fall within the definition of "passenger car" as defined herein.
TRUCK TRACTOR
A motor vehicle designed and used primarily for drawing other vehicles and not so constructed as to carry a load other than a part of the weight of the vehicle and load so drawn.
No commercial vehicle with a gross weight exceeding 10,000 pounds or with more than two axles, or any truck tractor or school bus as defined in § 225-1 above, shall be stored, parked or otherwise kept in any area public thoroughfare or street in Plymouth Borough.
The restrictions set forth in § 225-2 above shall not apply to the following:
A. 
Any recreational motor vehicle, camper, tent trailer or similar vehicle.
B. 
Vehicles of the municipality of Plymouth.
C. 
Fire apparatus.
D. 
Ambulances.
E. 
Vehicles actually engaged in the course of construction or repair of streets or while actually engaged in making deliveries or rendering services in or upon any property located within Borough limits.
F. 
Any school bus actually engaged in picking up or discharging students but only for a period of time necessary to safely pick up and discharge students. School buses may not park on Borough streets more than one-half hour before school closes for the day.
In addition to the restrictions set forth in § 225-2 above, no school bus shall be parked on any street within the Borough of Plymouth at any time except as is necessary to safely pick up or discharge passengers.

Any person or persons, firms or corporations violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon summary conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 for each such violation and cost of prosecution, and on default in payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than 30 days for each such violation.
