[Added 6-16-93 by Ord. No. 9-1993]
(1)
Statement of purpose: It has been determined that the presence of large numbers of large waterfowl on, within, and around Glen Lake in the Borough of Woodbury Heights causes, or may tend to cause, a public health nuisance in and around said lake, including the surrounding parkland, which is inimicable to the general health and welfare of the public. The purpose of this section is to prevent such conduct that may attract such wild waterfowl to the said Glen Lake in the Borough of Woodbury Heights.
(2)
Feeding of wild waterfowl prohibited: No persons shall feed, cause to be fed, or provide food for wild waterfowl on, within or around Glen Lake in the Borough of Woodbury Heights, on lands either publicly or privately owned. For the purposes of this section, waterfowl shall include those nondomesticated species of birds commonly known as "swans," "geese," "brants," "ducks," "gulls," or other types of waterfowl.
(3)
Exceptions: This section shall not be construed to prohibit humane acts towards wild waterfowl in individual cases such as the temporary nurturing of wounded bird on one's own property or premises.
(4)
Enforcement: The Police Department of the Borough of Woodbury Heights is hereby authorized and directed to enforce this section.
No person shall hold or permit to be held, in any building or on any premises within the borough, any cockfight, dogfight or any other kind of animal fight.
No person shall establish, keep or maintain or permit to be established, kept or maintained, within the borough, any cockpit or other place for animals to fight.
