Clark and Marathon Counties have adopted legislation providing for a County-Municipal Joint Action Civil Defense Plans or Organization. Those resolutions and/or ordinances are adopted by reference and are ratified and accepted by the City of Colby as part of a joint action plan.
The County-Municipal Emergency Government Director appointed and employed by the Marathon County Board of Supervisors and the Clark County Board of Supervisors is hereby designated appointed Emergency Government Director for that portion of the City of Colby lying in Marathon County for the Marathon County Emergency Government Director and that part of the City of Colby lying in Clark County for the Clark County Emergency Government Director, subject to the conditions and provisions as set forth in Wisconsin Statutes and respective county ordinances establishing an emergency government procedure.
In the event of a civil defense emergency resulting from enemy action or from natural or man-made disasters affecting areas of the City in both counties, the Marathon County Emergency Government Director shall be the officer in charge of any implementation of emergency government plans.
