A. 
Annual City election. The annual City election shall be held on the first Tuesday in April.
B. 
Polling hours. The polls for all elections shall open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. The rules for provision of voting booths, ballots and election officials and all of the rules for conduct of elections in Title II, Ch. 5 to 12, Wis. Stats., shall apply to elections in the City of Colby.
C. 
Polling places. The designated polling place for all wards of the City of Colby shall be at the Colby City Hall.
Whenever three or more candidates file nomination papers, candidates for elective City of Colby offices may be nominated by a nonpartisan primary conducted pursuant to § 8.05(4), Wis. Stats. Such candidate shall file with his/her nomination papers a declaration that he will qualify for the office to which he may be elected.
Pursuant to the Wisconsin Statutes, there is hereby established one set of election officials to conduct all elections in the wards of the City of Colby, which shall consist of seven election inspectors. However, the City Clerk-Treasurer shall have the power to limit or modify the number of election officials. The Clerk-Treasurer shall determine in advance of each election whether the number of election officials for such election should be reduced from the number prescribed by the Wisconsin Statutes, and if such a reduction is so determined, the Clerk-Treasurer shall further redistribute duties among the remaining officials. Election officials may work in such shifts as determined by the City Clerk-Treasurer.

A. 
Purpose. Pursuant to the requirements of §§ 5.15 and 62.08, Wis. Stats., Aldermanic Districts of the City of Colby are districted so that all Aldermanic Districts are as compact in area as possible and contain, as nearly as practicable, an equal number of inhabitants according to the most recent decennial federal census of population.
B. 
Number of wards. The City of Colby shall be divided into three wards as shown on the official map kept by the City Clerk/Treasurer and described in Resolution No. 9-2021.
C. 
Aldermanic Districts.

Aldermanic District 1: Ward 1.
(2) 
Aldermanic District 2: Ward 2.
(3) 
Aldermanic District 3: Ward 3.
