The City of Williston hereby establishes that the Williston
Fire Department shall be composed of a fire chief, volunteer members
as shall be provided by the Williston Volunteer Fire Department bylaws,
and such full-time firefighters and personnel as shall be determined
by the city commission.

All fire department volunteers and full-time members shall be
under the control and supervision of the fire chief at all emergency
scenes and other events, except Williston Volunteer Fire Department
meetings and nonemergency events sponsored by the Williston Volunteer
Fire Department.

In the absence of the fire chief, the battalion chief, deputy
chief or assistant chief of the Williston Volunteer Fire Department
shall have control and supervision of all personnel at all fire scenes.
Control and supervision of any other situation or event at which Williston
Fire Department personnel, volunteer or full-time, are present in
an official capacity shall be governed by policies to be adopted by
the fire chief.

The Williston Volunteer Fire Department shall be governed by
bylaws adopted by the Williston Volunteer Fire Department as approved
by the Williston City Commission.
