The Board of Health shall appoint a person to be known as the Sanitary
and Health Officer of the Borough, who shall be the executive officer
and official representative of the Board, and whose duties shall be
to conduct the business of the Board when not in session, to enforce
all statutes, ordinances and regulations relating to the protection
and promotion of health, and to perform such other duties as the Board
of Health may direct.

The Sanitary and Health Officer shall have the powers and authority
conferred by law upon the Board of Health which it can lawfully delegate.

The Board of Health may employ inspectors, nurses, clerks or other
persons as may be deemed necessary to assist the Sanitary and Health
Officer in the performance of his duties.

It shall be lawful for the Sanitary and Health Officer, inspector
or any person acting under and by the authority of the Board of Health
to enter in or upon any premises for any purpose in connection with
his regular duties.
