There is hereby created a political subdivision of the commonwealth
with such public and corporate powers as are set forth in the Industrial
Development and Revenue Bond Act (Code of Virginia, Title 15.2, Chapter
4900, as amended), including such powers as may hereafter be set forth
from time to time in such Act.

The name of the political subdivision of the commonwealth created
hereby shall be the Economic Development Authority of the Town of
Abingdon, Virginia (the Authority").

The Town shall appoint seven members to serve on the initial
board in accordance with the aforesaid Act.
