(a) The Council may from time to time designate any streets or portions
of streets as parking zones.
(b) "No Parking" sign will be placed in front of an historical home which
has been so designated by the county historical society. "No Parking"
signs will be installed in front of such homes.

The Town Manager shall install signs in all parking zones designated pursuant to Section
70-186, in such numbers and at such places as in his judgement may be necessary to regulate, control and make inspection of the parking of vehicles therein, including the reservation of loading zones for commercial vehicles.

Parking signs installed in parking zones shall be placed upon
the curb immediately adjacent to the individual parking spaces described
in the following section.

The Town Manager shall have lines or markings painted upon the
curb or street adjacent to any parking space shall park within such
lines or markings. It shall be unlawful for any person to park any
vehicle across any such line or marking or to park a vehicle in such
a position that it shall not be entirely within the space designated
by such lines and markings.

It shall be unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle
registered in his name or operated or controlled by him to be in any
parking space for a time period longer than that permitted by a controlling
sign between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. of any day, Sundays
and legal holidays excepted. Within the meaning of this article, the
word "holiday" shall include the following days only: January 1st,
the third Monday in January, the third Monday in February, the last
Monday in May, July 4th, the first Monday in September, the second
Monday in October, November 11th, the fourth Thursday in November
and December 25th.

Unless another penalty is expressly provided, every person convicted
of a violation of any provision of this division shall be punished
by a fine of not more than $10.
