In accordance with Chapter 110 of the Laws of 1988,[1] there is hereby created the office of Chief Financial Officer of the Township of Union of the County of Union.[2]

The term of office for any subsequent appointee shall be four years commencing January 1 of the year of appointment, unless and until said appointee becomes qualified for tenure under the statutes then in force.
Said Chief Financial Officer shall be responsible for carrying out the duties set forth in N.J.S.A. 52:27BB-26 et seq.
