It is the policy of the City of Linwood to promote and protect
the health if its employees, residents and public by enacting a non-smoking
policy that will cover all buildings and jurisdiction under the direction
of the City. To that end, all City-owned buildings shall be smoke
free. Smoking shall be prohibited in all interior portions of City-owned
or -leased facilities, inclusive of private offices and City vehicles.
Disciplinary action is an appropriate step for supervisors to
initiate if any employee violates the stated policy. For continuity,
all disciplinary actions shall be progressive and discussed first
with the City Administrator prior to any action by the Department.
