The city council hereby adopts the 2015 edition of the International Mechanical Code, except as modified or amended in this article. In the event that this code is ever updated or revised, those changes are automatically included and incorporated into this section once the changes are approved by the North Central Texas Council of Governments. The installation and maintenance of all heating, ventilating, cooling and refrigeration systems in the city shall be in accordance with the provisions of the code adopted in this section. Copies of the code and amendments thereto, as referenced herein, are on file in the office of the city secretary, for permanent record and inspection. From the date on which this section shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the construction of all buildings and structures within the corporate limits of the city.

The city council hereby adopts the North Central Texas Council of Governments recommended amendments to the 2015 International Mechanical Code, attached to Ordinance O-04-18 as exhibit E and on file in the office of the city secretary, subject to the following:

The sections of the code regarding permit fees are amended to provide that permit fees shall be as established in chapter 3, article 3.03 of this code, as hereafter amended.

Any person violating any of the provisions of the mechanical code herein adopted shall be subject to punishment as provided in section 1.01.009 of this Code of Ordinances. Each day of continuance thereof shall constitute a distinct and separate offense.
