The Board of Zoning Appeals shall consist of five citizen members appointed by the Town Chairperson for staggered three-year terms, subject to confirmation by the Town Board, and two alternate members shall be appointed by the Town Chairperson, subject to confirmation by the Town Board, for a three-year term. The alternate member shall act with full power only when a member of the Board is absent or refuses to vote because of an interest in the matter to be heard.
The Board shall have the powers and duties prescribed in § 62.23(7)(e), Wis. Stats.
