The Department of Recreation, Community Celebrations and Park
Administration shall be permitted to issue exclusive-use permits for
the municipal gazebo and then establish fees as listed herein:
A. Fees for municipal gazebo.
(1) Residents: $40/four-hour block.
(2) Nonresidents: $80/four-hour block.
B. Deposit. A nonrefundable deposit of $20 is required with the permit
application.
C. Maintenance escrow. The applicant shall deposit with the Recreation
Director a cash deposit, money order, certified check or treasurer's
check in the amount of $300 to guarantee the maintenance of the municipal
gazebo on which the applied-for activities are to be conducted. If,
at the end of such activity, the Township decides the premises have
not been returned to the condition they were in as of the time that
the applied-for activity commenced, they shall be authorized to return
the premises to such condition and to pay for having the same done
out of the deposit left with the Recreation Director for such purposes.
After the premises have been restored to their original condition,
the balance of any moneys remaining shall be returned by the Recreation
Director to the applicant.
Use of the municipal gazebo for political campaign speeches
and rallies is allowed for any day except Primary Election Day and
General Election Day.
Display of any flag, banner, transparency, target, sign, placard
or any other matter is permitted on the municipal gazebo that is rented
for a public speech or rally. Items for these events must be taken
down at the end of the event. Items for these events shall not be
posted along entrance driveways or parking areas.
