is the charter of the City of Buda, Texas, which was adopted at an
election held on 11/6/07, and further amended at an election held
on 11/6/12 and 11/7/17. Apart from minor nonsubstantive changes in
style and formatting, the charter is reproduced as provided by the
city after the November 7, 2017 election. Capitalization, punctuation
and grammar have been retained. Obviously misspelled words have been
corrected without notation. Material enclosed in brackets has been
added for clarification. Amendments to the charter are indicated by
a history note following the amended provision. At the election held
on November 7, 2017, by Ordinance 2017-07, Proposition No. S and T,
the charter was amended to provide for gender neutrality; to include
references to federal law in providing that expressions of law include
enactments, amendments and superseded language and to conform all
references in all forms to state and/or federal law; and to make corrections
to grammar, typographical errors, capitalization and punctuation and
update the title of “city secretary” to “city clerk.”
These changes were made as provided by the city without notation where
applicable.
