The purpose of this article is to establish an ordinance prohibiting
the sale and cultivation of cannabis/marijuana in the Town of Somers.
For use in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
As defined in Section 21a-240 of the Connecticut General
Statutes or other applicable state law.
A producer, dispensary facility, cultivator, micro-cultivator,
retailer, hybrid retailer, cannabis food and beverage manufacturer,
cannabis product manufacturer, cannabis product packager as defined
in Connecticut Public Act 21-1 entitled "An Act Concerning Responsible
and Equitable Regulation of Adult-Use Cannabis."
Cannabis/marijuana establishments are hereby banned in the Town
of Somers, and no building or property shall be used for such purpose.
