Town of Somers, CT Chapter 59 School Board

§ 59-1 Adoption of statutory provisions; nomination and election of candidates.

It is hereby established that the Town of Somers adopts the provisions of Public Act 83-401[1] in its entirety, and each political party may nominate and the electorate shall be allowed to vote for candidates in accordance with the provisions of said Public Act.

§ 59-2 Purpose.

It is the intention of this chapter to comply with the provisions of Public Act 83-401 requiring the legislative body to adopt the provision of that Public Act by ordinance.
