A. 
The following areas within the Village are established and identified as drug-free zones in recognition of and to aid in the enforcement of the aforesaid federal law (i.e., 21 U.S.C. § 845 and 21 U.S.C. § 845a[1]):
(1) 
The area in or on, or within 1,000 feet in any direction of the real property comprising the public elementary grade school facilities of the Morrisonville Community Unit School District No. 1; and
(2) 
The area in or on, or within 1,000 feet in any direction of the real property comprising the public high school facilities and the public high school baseball and track diamond facilities of the Morrisonville Community Unit School District No. 1;[2] and

(3) 
The area in or on, or within 100 feet in any direction of the Morrisonville public playground and park facilities; and
(4) 
The area in or on, or within 100 feet in any direction of the Palmer-Morrisonville Recreation Area public recreation facility and youth center.

B. 
Attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter and available in the Village Clerk's office, and incorporated in this chapter by reference, is a copy of a Village map which identifies the several drug free zones referred to in Subsections A(1) through A(4) of this section inclusive. In the event of any conflict between said map and the area description of the drug-free zones identified in Subsections A(1) through A(4) of this section inclusive, then the area descriptions set forth in Subsections A(1) through A(4) of this section inclusive shall control.
The Village authorities, or their delegates, may purchase, install and maintain such sign or signs within the aforesaid drug-free zones as the Village may deem necessary or appropriate from time to time; and the Village may purchase such other materials or services and may otherwise cooperate with any school or prosecutorial or other appropriate authorities from time to time as the Village may deem necessary or appropriate from time to time to aid in the prevention, enforcement or prosecution of violators within the aforesaid drug-free zones; provided, however, nothing in this chapter shall obligate or impose any liability or duty of any kind, nature or extent whatsoever, on the Village or its corporate authorities, officers, employees or agents in any way whatsoever.
