A. It shall be unlawful for any person to sell any merchandise to, or
solicit any business or patronage from, any person located upon any
street, sidewalk or State or municipally controlled area within the
City of Lake Ozark, Missouri, except as follows:
1. When the solicitation of business or patronage is authorized by the
person operating the business in front of which such solicitation
is made or patronage is sought and provided that no payment of fees
or other charges for the solicited business or patronage is made at
such location; or
2. When the solicitation of business or patronage is conducted by a
licensed business and such solicitation of business or patronage occurs
is directly in front of said business and conducted temporarily as
part of a sale and such solicitation of business or patronage does
not impede or interfere with pedestrian traffic or create a risk of
injury; or
3. As part of a special event wherein the City agrees to lease or make
such public areas, sidewalks, and thoroughfares available for said
use the special event or otherwise when deemed by the City to be in
the general public interest.
B. Any individual, concern, organization or corporation violating the
provisions of this Section shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance
violation, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine
of not less than one dollar ($1.00), nor more than five hundred dollars
($500.00) or imprisoned in the City Jail for a term of not more than
ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
