The following words when used in this chapter shall have the
meaning ascribed to them in this section, except where the context
clearly indicates or requires a different meaning:
PERSON
Includes a profit or nonprofit corporation, company, institution,
partnership or individual.
PERSONAL PROPERTY
Any tangible property that is the subject of ownership and
is possible to be moved and which is generally used in the operation
of a business or for the maintenance of a household.
RECORD OWNER
The current owner of real estate as identified in the Lehigh
County records.
TOWNSHIP
Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
It shall be unlawful for any individual to move into, out of
or from one place to another within the Township without first obtaining
a moving permit from the Township. In the case of individuals moving
into the Township, said permit shall be submitted no later than one
week after moving into the Township. In the case of individuals moving
out of or from one place to another within the Township, a moving
permit shall be completed at least 24 hours before said move is made.
It shall be unlawful when establishing or terminating a business
or industry in the Township for any person to move or cause to be
moved any personal property into, out of or from place to place within
the Township without first securing a moving permit from the Township.
The residential moving permit shall include the names and addresses,
old and new, and the supporting information as listed on the permit
for all individuals and must be submitted to the Township Administration
Office.
The business or industry moving permit shall include the record
owner's name(s) and address(es) of the business or industry and the
property, the name under which the business or industry operates,
and other supporting information as listed on the permit and must
be submitted to the Township Administrative Office.
Any record owner leasing or renting any property or part thereof
within the Township to another person as a dwelling unit or as a business
or industry shall give the Township written notice that the property
has been leased or rented within one week after leasing said property
and prior to occupancy by a tenant and at least 24 hours' notice of
the intention of the lessee or tenant to move or vacate the leased
or rented premises.

Any person or record owner who violates or permits a violation
of this chapter or who furnishes false information to the Township
using false names or addresses shall, upon being found liable therefor
in a civil enforcement proceeding commenced by the Township before
a Magisterial District Judge, pay a fine of not more than $600, plus
all court costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, incurred by
the Township in the enforcement of this chapter. If the defendant
neither pays nor timely appeals the judgment, the Township may enforce
the judgment pursuant to the applicable Rules of Civil Procedure.
Each day a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense. Further,
the appropriate officers or agents of the Township are hereby authorized
to seek equitable relief, including injunction, to enforce compliance
herewith.
The provisions of this chapter are severable and if any section,
clause, sentence, part or provision hereof shall be held illegal,
invalid or unconstitutional, the illegality, invalidity or unconstitutionality
shall not affect or impair any of the remaining sections, clauses,
sentences, parts or provisions hereof. It is hereby declared to be
the intent of the Supervisors of this Township that this chapter would
have been adopted as if such illegal, invalid or unconstitutional
section, clause, sentence, part or provision had not been included
herein.
This chapter shall become effective five days after adoption,
as required by law.
