No person shall place handbills, circulars, pamphlets or other
advertising matter or any samples of drugs or merchandise on any of
the streets, alleys, private driveways, porches, halls or other parts
of private residences or public buildings, or upon or in any motor
vehicle without the consent of the owners or custodians of such properties.

This article shall not be construed to apply to the delivery
of any regularly published newspaper to any bona fide subscriber thereto.

Whoever violates MMC 733.01 shall be fined not less than $5.00
nor more than $50.00 for each and every offense, and in default of
payment thereof, shall be imprisoned not more than three days.
