Any person who brings any animal, alive or dead, to the animal control center or to the animal control officer for disposal shall waive any right to redeem such animal, and the animal control officer and the animal control center shall not be required to retain such animal for purposes of redemption, but may immediately dispose of such animal.

A. 
No person shall keep the carcass of any dead animal, except while butchering or processing the same, for a period of more than 48 hours, unless the same is frozen or refrigerated.
B. 
No person shall bury the remains of any dead animal within the city limits.

The animal control officer may accept the carcass of any dead animal for disposal. The fee therefor shall be the same as set forth in Section 7.56.040.

The animal control officer shall keep such records as are reasonably necessary for the animal control center and the requirements of this title.

The animal control officer may promulgate such rules and regulations as are reasonably necessary to carry out the intent and purposes of this title and to provide for the general health, safety and welfare of animals and the general public. Additionally, animal control may cause rules and conduct regarding city dog parks to be posted at all city dog parks. Failure to follow such posted rules would be a violation of this chapter.
