Note: Prior ordinance history: Ord. 215.
The city council of the city of Rancho Mirage ("city") does hereby find and affirm that time-share or vacation ownership resort projects might differ in many aspects from other transient visitor facilities as well as residences in types of construction, forms of ownership, patterns of use and occupancy, and commercial management, and the city council determines that the unique features of the typical time-share projects can have effects on both the areas surrounding such use and the whole of the city. Therefore, this chapter and related sections in Chapter 17.08 are intended to protect the health, safety, peace and welfare of the public by providing additional land use and property development regulations for time share and vacation ownership resort projects within the city of Rancho Mirage.
