In addition to any other violation of applicable laws, it shall
be a violation of this article for any person to engage in any of
the following conduct:
A. To disobey the order of a Suffolk County Police Officer, or a Town
of Babylon Bay Constable, Fire Marshall, Park Ranger, Public Safety
Officer, Ordinance Inspector, Zoning Inspector, Code Enforcement Officer
or any other law enforcement officer employed by the Town of Babylon;
B. To engage in, instigate, aid or encourage a fight, whether or not
a ring or prizefight;
C. To assault another person or to engage in any other violent, tumultuous
or threatening behavior;
D. To engage in any act causing or amounting to a breach of the peace;
E. To use threatening, abusive or menacing language directed at another
person;
F. To throw stones or other dangerous objects;
G. To perform an unlawfully obscene or indecent act;
H. To interfere with, encumber, obstruct or render dangerous any part
of a Town facility;
I. To introduce, carry or use any firecrackers, torpedoes or fireworks;
J. To urinate and/or defecate at any public place, except through utilization
of facilities in an available public restroom;
K. To make unreasonable noise with an intent to cause public inconvenience,
annoyance or alarm;
L. To obstruct vehicular or pedestrian traffic; or
M. To create a hazardous or physically offensive condition by any act
which serves no legitimate purpose.
Each such act committed during the same occurrence or series
of occurrences shall constitute a separate and distinct commission
of an act of disorderly conduct and a separate violation of this article.
Any person committing a violation of this article is guilty
of an offense punishable upon conviction by a fine of not less than
$100 nor more than $500. Any person found by the Bureau of Administrative
Adjudication to have violated this section shall likewise be subject
to a monetary penalty in an amount within the range of fines authorized
herein.
