A. A certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Marshfield, Missouri, being marked and designated as the International Fire Code, 2018 Edition, including Appendix I (see International Fire Code Section 101.2.1, 2018 Edition), as published by the International Code Council and is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of the City of Marshfield, Missouri, regulating and governing the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of said Fire Code on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Subsection
(B) of this Section.
B. The following Sectons are hereby revised:
1. Section 101.1 Insert: City of Marshfield, Missouri.
2. Section 110.4 Insert: Misdemeanor, five hundred dollars ($500.00),
ninety (90) days.
3. Section 112.4 Insert: Fifty dollars ($50.00), and five hundred dollars
($500.00).

Except as may be specifically provided herein, no provisions
of the existing Marshfield Zoning Ordinance pertaining to location,
use or construction of buildings or equipment shall be nullified by
provisions of this Code, but in any case the most rigid requirements
shall control the construction, equipment or materials or the location
of buildings or structures. Whenever State Statutes require the approval
of special use group buildings, including among others, factories,
schools and multi-family dwellings, the approval of such authority
shall accompany the application for a permit as may be required by
the Code.

The owner or agent of any building, structure, or premises where
a violation of any provision or regulation of the International Fire
Code, current adopted Edition, has been committed or shall exist,
or the lessee or tenant of an entire building or premises where such
violation has been committed or shall exist, or the general agent,
architect, builder, contractor, or any other person who commits, takes
part in, or assists in any such violation shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
which shall be punishable by a fine of not less than fifty dollars
($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each and
every day that such violation continues, and if the violation shall
be willful, upon conviction thereof, the punishment shall be a fine
of not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than five
hundred dollars ($500.00) for each and every day that such violation
shall continue, or by imprisonment for ten (10) days for each and
every day that such violation shall continue, or by both such fine
and imprisonment at the discretion of the Marshfield Municipal Court.
Any person who, having been served with an order to remove any violation,
shall fail to comply with said order from which no timely appeal has
been taken, within ten (10) days after such service, or shall continue
to violate any provision under this Code in the respect named in such
order, shall also be subject to a civil penalty of two hundred fifty
dollars ($250.00) per day. The authorities of the City of Marshfield,
Missouri, may, in addition to other remedies, institute any appropriate
action or proceedings to prevent such unlawful erection, construction,
reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance, use of
demolition to restrain, correct or abate such violation, and to prevent
the occupancy of any building, structure or land, or to prevent any
act, conduct, business or use in or about such premises which is violative
of the provisions of the International Fire Code, current adopted
Edition, as adopted herein.
