a.
Whenever it is necessary for an officer or employee to use a motor vehicle in the performance of assigned duties, such vehicle shall be furnished or the employee shall be compensated an equitable rate per mile for use of the employee's personal vehicle, as provided by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
b.
No officer or employee shall use a County vehicle or claim compensation for mileage except in connection with the performance of official County business.
c.
No employee shall be assigned duties requiring use of motor vehicles except in accordance with the motor vehicle code and other applicable laws.
d.
Seatbelts which are furnished in County vehicles shall be properly used, and every County employee shall be fully informed of this requirement.
