This chapter may be cited as the "Ojai Uniform Traffic Law."

The
Vehicle Code, as now or hereafter constituted, is hereby
adopted by the City, and a violation of said statute shall be an offense
against the City.

The provisions of the
Vehicle Code and this chapter shall be
applicable to the following:
(a) All
streets and highways;
(b) Those
driveways, paths, roads, parking facilities, and grounds owned, operated,
or controlled by the City as determined by the Director of Public
Works; and
(c) Those
privately-owned and maintained roads and parking facilities as determined
and designated by the Council by resolution according to the provisions
of the
Vehicle Code and City policy and when signs giving notice thereof
have been erected.

Whenever the provisions of this chapter establish regulations
applicable to a portion of a State highway or delegate to a City official
authority for the administration and enforcement of regulations applicable
to a portion of a State highway, such regulations shall have been
submitted to the Department of Transportation of the State in draft
form for approval prior to enactment pursuant to Sections 21104, 21353,
22501, 22506, 35702, and other applicable sections of the Vehicle
Code.
