Unless the Township has, by resolution, discontinued
the operation of a sanitary landfill, any person within the Township
shall be permitted to transport refuse produced upon premises owned
or occupied by such person and used exclusively for dwelling purposes
to the sanitary landfill of the Township in covered metal receptacles.
Such refuse shall be delivered to the sanitary landfill only at the
times posted at the office of the Township Clerk and when an attendant
is present at the sanitary landfill. Refuse shall be unloaded at the
place or places designated by the attendant. It shall be unlawful
for any person to unload, throw or dump any refuse at the sanitary
landfill except in the presence of and in accordance with the directions
of the attendant. Tree limbs or other large objects shall be deposited
at such special location as the attendant shall designate.
Unless the Township has, by resolution, discontinued the operation of a sanitary landfill, nothing herein contained shall be construed to prohibit the transporting of building rubble by the contractor producing the same to the sanitary landfill, provided that the contractor shall first obtain a permit to do so from the Township Clerk. Such permit shall be valid only for the duration of the building permit issued to the contractor for the job upon which the rubble is produced. Contractors shall pay fees for the use of the sanitary landfill in accordance with §
142-30.
Unless the Township has, by resolution, discontinued the operation of a sanitary landfill, owners or proprietors of premises used for commercial, industrial or other than dwelling purposes shall be permitted to transport refuse produced upon premises personally or by their own employees to the landfill without a permit. The fees for the use of the landfill shall be paid by such persons for refuse other than that produced on premises used exclusively for dwelling purposes in accordance with §
142-30.
All refuse and other property deposited at any
landfill by the Township shall become the property of the Township.
It shall be unlawful for any person to enter
the landfill area of any landfill operated by the Township except
when the attendant is present and at the hours prescribed by the Council.
It shall be unlawful for any person to scavenge or remove any article
from a landfill area operated by the Township.
