GENERAL REFERENCES
Charter
The Township of Cheltenham is hereby reapportioned and redistricted
into seven wards by readjusting the boundaries between Ward 1 and Ward 4 as
described herein. The boundaries and number of each ward shall be as set forth
on the attached map which is part of this chapter and the legal description
of each of the said wards is as follows.[1]

The changes for reapportioning and redistricting noted in this chapter
shall not become effective until such notification is provided from the Montgomery
County Board of Elections that the Pennsylvania Department of State has declared
all judicial appeals to the 2002 Congressional Reapportionment Plan resolved
in accordance with Act 2002-44, Pennsylvania State Bill 1240, P.N. 1972.
