It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, as defined in § 476 of the General Municipal Law, upon obtaining the required license, to conduct the game of bingo within the territorial limits of the Town of Halfmoon, subject to the provisions of this article, Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law and Article 19-B of the Executive Law.
Any game of bingo conducted within the Town pursuant to a license issued in accordance with this article and the applicable statutes may be operated by authorized organizations on the first day of the week, commonly known as "Sunday."

This article is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, and shall be known as the "Games of Chance Ordinance of the Town of Halfmoon."
The words and terms used in this article shall have the same meaning as such words and terms used in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law unless otherwise provided herein or the context requires a different meaning: "Town" means Town of Halfmoon; "Officer" means the Saratoga County Sheriff as Enforcement Officer of the Town of Halfmoon.
Games of chance may be conducted in the Town by an authorized organization, after obtaining a license therefor, in accordance with the provisions, requirements and limitations of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this article. The conduct of games of chance on Sundays is authorized, except as otherwise restricted in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law.
The article shall take effect 10 days after approval thereof by a majority of the voters of the Town voting thereon at a General Election and after publishing and posting as required by law.
