A. The entire area of Byram Township known as Forest
Lakes, and as shown on a certain map entitled "Map of Forest Lakes," shall be a bird sanctuary.
B. Within the bird sanctuary, no person shall trap, shoot,
hunt or otherwise molest with intent to kill any wild bird nor take
or molest the nest or eggs of any wild bird.
C. A person convicted in the Municipal Court of violation
of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to a fine of not
more than $1,250, up to 90 days in prison, or both, which sentence
may include community service in the discretion of the Judge.
D. The governing body may authorize, eliminate or cause
to be eliminated any nuisance or menace to the health of the community
or to private property from excessive numbers of house sparrows, starlings,
feral pigeons, Canada geese, or other birds.
