The purpose of this chapter is to implement the provisions of Article
9-A of the General Municipal Law and the rules and regulations promulgated
by the Racing and Wagering Board of the State of New York as such apply to
games of chance conducted by authorized organizations.
Authorized organizations may, upon the issuance of a license from the
Clerk of the Town of Clifton Park, conduct games of chance within the Town
of Clifton Park as provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and
as provided in this chapter. Such games of chance shall be conducted in accordance
with the General Municipal Law and the rules and regulations of the New York
State Racing and Wagering Board.
There are hereby incorporated by reference the provisions of Article
9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and the rules and
regulations of the Racing and Wagering Board of the State of New York, as
adopted and as amended from time to time.
The Sheriff of the County of Saratoga shall exercise control over and
supervision of all games of chance under a properly issued license.

In addition to the authority set forth herein, the Town Clerk is hereby
and herein authorized to issue licenses under the General Municipal Law, Article
9-A, for the first day of the week, commonly known and designated as Sunday,
only for the hours between noon and midnight and only for the games of chance
known as "bell jar" and "raffles," and for no other games of chance.
