From and after the effective date of this article, it shall be unlawful for any person to operate any truck of any type or kind over and upon the following roadways within the municipal boundaries of the Township of Lower Saucon:
A. 
Helms Road between SR 2012, known as the "Applebutter Road bearing Station Marker No. 2/24+36," and the dead end in the Township of Lower Saucon, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; and
B. 
Frederick Street between the boundary line of the Borough of Fountain Hill and Route 378, SR 0378 (Wyandotte Street).
C. 
The provisions of this § 170-4 shall not apply to school buses, emergency vehicles, and vehicles making local deliveries, provided it is necessary for those exempted vehicles to utilize the roads listed in Subsections A and B during the normal course of business, and subject to the restrictions of Subsection D herein.

D. 
School buses and vehicles making local deliveries shall be prohibited from exiting Frederick Street in an easterly direction on to Route 378 due to the steep grade of the intersection.

The Council of Lower Saucon Township shall cause official traffic signs to be erected along the roadways identified in § 170-4 of this article in such locations and of such type, size and number as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, or as otherwise deemed necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the traveling public.

Any person violating the provisions of this article, upon conviction thereof in the summary proceeding held before a Magisterial District Judge in and for the Township of Lower Saucon, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of $50 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment thereof, shall undergo imprisonment for not more than five days.
