[Adopted 9-7-1993 by L.L. No. 26-1993]
A Board of Commissioners is established for the Yorktown Advance Life Support District to consist of four members and a Town Board liaison. The Commissioners shall serve for a term of two years. The first two Commissioners shall serve one year and the second two Commissioners shall serve two years.
The following ministerial functions related to the operation of the district are delegated to the Commissioners:
A. 
Reporting on matters referred to it by the Town Board, including:
(1) 
Assisting with preparation of bid documents and proposed contracts.
(2) 
Assisting with preparation of standards for performance and proposed protocols.
(3) 
Preparation of a proposed budget and capital projects program.
B. 
Supervising any contracts entered into by the district.
C. 
Reporting to the Town Board in regard to overall performance and needs of the district.
D. 
Formulation of rules and regulations relating to use of equipment and personnel and to recommend the same to the Town Board for adoption.[1]

The Commissioner shall act in an advisory capacity to the Town Board with regard to other functions related to the operation of the district.
