A. 
All Township employees shall be at their assigned posts or point of duty from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each working day, unless on vacation, ill, absent or on leave, except when their assigned tour of duty requires some other starting hour.

B. 
A complete time and attendance record shall be maintained by the department head for all employees.
C. 
Lateness and the reason for it shall be noted on the time report. Recurring tardiness or unexplained absences from a post of duty shall be the basis for disciplinary action against the offending employee, under civil service rules and regulations.
D. 
A one-hour lunch period is authorized during a normal work period, the time for such lunch period to be assigned to each employee by the department head. Tardiness in returning from lunch, unless specifically authorized in advance by the department head, shall be noted on the time report. An office shall not be closed during lunch if there is more than one employee, unless authorized by the Township Manager.

E. 
The regular closing hour for the Township offices (other than those requiring tours of duty ending at some other time) is 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, Monday through Friday. Employees are expected to complete their assigned tour of duty unless excused by the department head and a notation to that effect is made on the time report.

F. 
Any change in the approved Township office hours must be authorized in advance by the Township Manager.
G. 
The regular workweek or normal workweek is considered to start Monday and end Sunday and normally consists of five working days of eight hours each, Monday through Friday.
A. 
Number.

Twelve paid holidays shall be observed by the Township as follows:

New Year's Day.
(b) 
President's Day (Washington's Birthday or Third Monday in February).
(c) 
Good Friday.
(d) 
Easter (Monday).
(e) 
Memorial Day.
(f) 
Independence Day.
(g) 
Labor Day.
(h) 
Veteran's Day.
(i) 
Thanksgiving Day.
(j) 
Friday after Thanksgiving.
(k) 
Christmas Day Eve.
(l) 
Christmas Day.
(2) 
In the event that a legal holiday, as designated above, falls on a Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday; and in the event that said designated holiday falls on a Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday.
B. 
Pay. In the event that an official holiday is observed during an employee's vacation, he or she shall be entitled to an additional vacation day, and should an official holiday occur while an employee is on sick leave, he or she shall not have that holiday charged against his or her sick leave.
