No person shall conduct, operate or maintain any barbershop, hair dressing,
beauty parlor or manicure parlor in the village without obtaining a license
therefor.

The annual license fee shall be established by resolution of the Board
of Trustees, which shall have the discretion and authority to modify said
license fee from time to time.
Such licenses shall be issued as provided for in Chapter
187, Licenses and Permits, and shall be issued by the Mayor only to persons and for premises in respect to which the Mayor is satisfied that the regulations and requirements of this chapter have been complied with as well as all ordinances, regulations and requirements of the Department of Health of the County of Nassau.
All barbershops, beauty parlors and manicuring establishments shall
be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition in conformity with the regulations
of said Department of Health as hereinbefore set forth.
All persons employed in or conducting any such barbershop, beauty parlor,
hair dressing establishment or manicuring establishment shall be subject to
inspection by the Department of Health of the County of Nassau, and the premises
shall be kept in accordance with the regulations of said Department.

Any person committing an offense against any provision of this chapter
shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation pursuant to the Penal
Law of the State of New York, punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by
imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this chapter shall
constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct
offense hereunder.
