All plumbers having their principal place of
business within the corporate limits of the Village of East Rockaway
must pass a practical and theoretical test, as to their knowledge
of the plumbing rules of the Village, and must be registered and must
execute a bond in the amount of $2,000 for the faithful performance
of their work.
Any person desiring a master plumber's license
shall make application, in writing, accompanied by two photographs
of the applicant, approximately 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches, taken
within the past 30 days, to the Plumbers' Examining Board, which Board
shall arrange for an examination of such applicant.

The fees to be charged under the provisions of this chapter
shall be determined from time to time by resolution of the Board of
Trustees.
A. .There shall be a fee for issuance of a license to
a master plumber who has obtained a certificate of competency and
there shall be a renewable fee charged annually.
B. Upon the successful passing of an examination as fixed
by the Plumbers' Examining Board, a license will be issued to such
applicant, which shall expire on December 31 following the date of
such examination.
C. All plumbers licensed by the Village of East Rockaway
shall be required to renew their licenses prior to the end of January
of each year.
The drainage and plumbing of all buildings,
both public and private, shall be executed in accordance with the
rules and regulations of the Board of Trustees.
One set of specifications will be received for
not more than 10 houses and then only when on adjoining lots and when
houses are exactly alike.
Written notices must be given to the Superintendent
of Construction by the plumber when any work is begun and at such
time as the work is ready for inspection.

The fees to be charged under the provisions
of this chapter shall be determined from time to time by resolution

A. A fee set in §
101-32 shall be charged for each plumbing permit issued by the Village of East Rockaway and shall cover the installation of a maximum of five fixtures. There will be an additional fee charged for each additional fixture. These fees shall be payable directly to the Village of East Rockaway.
B. A fee set in §
101-32 shall be charged for each permit issued for a domestic hot-water hookup in connection with oil-burner installation.
C. A separate charge shall be charged for each permit issued to connect to the Nassau County sewer system as provided in §
101-32.
D. Before any permit for connection to a Nassau County
sewer is issued, a permit issued by the County of Nassau must be exhibited
and the number thereof noted on the application to the Village for
the sewer permit.
E. A fee shall be charged as indicated in §
101-32 in connection with the installation of each automatic sprinkler system based upon the estimated cost thereof.
This Article shall be enforced by the Board
of Trustees of the Village of East Rockaway and by the Superintendent
of Construction of the Village of East Rockaway, each of whom is hereby
given authority to enforce the provisions of this Article.
For every violation of the provisions of this
Article or any section or provision thereof, the owner, agent, contractor
or agent of the contractor of a building or premises, where such violation
has been committed or shall exist, and the owner, agent, contractor
or agent of the contractor, lessee or tenant of any part of a building
or premises in which such violation has been committed or shall exist,
and the agent, architect, builder, contractor or agent of the contractor,
or any other person who commits, takes part or assists in such violation,
or who maintains any building or premises in which such violation
shall exist, shall for each and every violation, and for each and
every day that such violation continues, be subject, upon conviction
thereof, pursuant to the Penal Law of the State of New York, to a
fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding
15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
