Sanitary regulations, orders, rules and ordinances of the Department of Health of the County of Nassau shall be applicable to the village. The representatives and agents of said department are authorized to make needful and suitable inspections, orders and regulations in the village, and such ordinances, rules, regulations and directions shall be complied with in the village.

Any person who shall violate any lawful ordinance, rule, regulation or order of the Department of Health of the County of Nassau shall be, upon conviction thereof, guilty of a violation pursuant to the Penal Law of the State of New York, punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this Article shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.
