Any violation of this chapter shall be punished as prescribed in §
1-3.

No person buying, selling or otherwise dealing
in old metal, bones, rags or other articles, commonly known as "junk
dealers," shall transact such business in and upon the thoroughfares
or places of the City without first having obtained a license from
the City Clerk.

A. The City Clerk is authorized to issue licenses required by this chapter
and collect the annual fee rates as set forth in the City of Beacon
fee schedule.
B. Such licenses shall terminate December 31 in each year, but licenses
issued for less than 1/2 of a year are hereby issued at 1/2 of the
annual fee.
Any person having obtained a license required
by this chapter, using a vehicle, shall place and keep upon either
side of the body of such vehicle the words: "Licensed, City of Beacon,"
or similar words, together with the number of such license, in letters
and figures at least three inches high and of such color as to be
plainly read at a distance of 10 feet.
