Town officials collecting money from persons doing business with the Town of Cato shall hereby charge $10 for any check returned for insufficient funds, in accordance with Chapter 203 of the 1989 Laws of New York.[1]

Any person having had a check which was returned for insufficient funds shall be required to remit any future payments only in the form of cash or by certified or cashier's check.
Such ten-dollar fee may only be waived for those persons who can prove that it was through no fault of their own that a check was returned for insufficient funds.
