A. 
Hours of use. The following will govern hours of use:
(1) 
All public parks, playgrounds and recreational areas of the Town of Boonton, except as provided below, shall be open to the public in accordance with the following schedule:

(2) 
The park known as Pepe Field shall be opened and closed to the public in accordance with the following schedule:

(3) 
Upon application, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen may, by resolution, grant a temporary exception to the aforementioned schedule.
B. 
Baseball and softball field regulations. The following rules shall apply for the use of batting cages:

(1) 
Adult supervision is required.
(2) 
No more than one batter at a time is permitted to use a batting cage.
(3) 
Batters must wear protective headgear (batting helmet) while in the batting cage.

C. 
Park, playground and recreational area prohibitions. The following will be prohibited in all parks, playgrounds and recreation areas owned by the Town or located in the Town:
(1) 
The riding or use of bikes, skateboards, roller blades or other wheeled conveyances with the exception of wheeled conveyances used by the handicapped or physically impaired;
(2) 
Smoking;
(3) 
Alcohol;
(4) 
Illegal drugs;
(5) 
Glass bottles;
(6) 
Climbing on fences;
(7)

Littering;
(9) 
Entry when gates are locked;
(10) 
Vandalism;

(12) 
Any conduct or actions prohibited by other Town of Boonton ordinances.
D. 
Playground rules. The following rules will be adhered to in all playgrounds owned by the Town of Boonton:
(1) 
Children nine years and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult who is 18 years or older at all times;
(2) 
All children who play in, at, or use any of the playground equipment do so at their own risk; and
(3) 
If an unsafe condition is observed in or at the playground or the playground equipment is observed to be unsafe, use of the playground must be immediately terminated and the Township Administrator or Police Department notified of such unsafe condition.
E. 
Concurrent jurisdiction. With respect to any and all property owned by the Town and located outside of its political boundaries, the duly constituted law enforcement authorities of those municipalities in which the property is located shall have joint and concurrent jurisdiction with the duly constituted law enforcement authorities of the Town to enforce all of those ordinances of the Town.
F. 
Dogs prohibited. The following will govern pets:
(1) 
It shall be a violation of this section for any person owning, keeping or harboring a dog to permit or allow the dog to be within five feet of any play structure, game structure, exercise structure, picnic table (unless the person in charge of the dog is using the picnic table), nor shall any dog be allowed within the painted line area of any court facility.
(2) 
No dog shall be permitted in or on any park property within the Town unless it shall be on a leash, the leash not to exceed six feet in length, and under the physical control of a responsible person. This prohibition shall not apply to Veteran's Memorial Park, Mayor's Park and Sheep Hill Park.
(3) 
This prohibition shall not apply to dogs used as guides for the visually impaired.
(4) 
No pets, to include but not be limited to dogs or cats, are allowed in or on Pepe Field.

A. 
Vehicles prohibited. All motorized vehicles, motorcycles and motorized sportbikes shall be prohibited in all public parks, playgrounds and recreational areas of the Town, with the exception of police, fire, other emergency vehicles and necessary maintenance vehicles under the supervision and control of the Town. This subsection shall not apply to designated parking areas in public parks and recreational areas.
B. 
Penalty. Any person who shall violate this provision of this section shall be liable to the penalty stated in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty.
Fees. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen shall set fees for recreation programs, permits and the use of parks and recreation facilities by resolution.
