A. 
Traffic control signals shall be installed and operated at the intersection of those streets described in Schedule I (§ 267-34), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
B. 
The traffic signal installation shall be in accordance with the provisions of An Act Concerning Motor Vehicles and Traffic Regulations, Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the New Jersey Statutes Annotated, and shall conform to the design and shall be maintained in operation as authorized by the Department of Transportation of the State of New Jersey.
A. 
The speed limit for both directions of traffic along the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule II (§ 267-35), attached to and made a part of this chapter, is hereby established at the rate of speed indicated.
B. 
Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected and maintained to effect the above-designated speed limits.

The speed limit for both directions of traffic along the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule III (§ 267-36), entitled "School Zones," attached to and made a part of this chapter, is hereby established at 25 miles per hour, unless otherwise indicated, when passing through each school zone during recess when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school during opening or closing hours.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IV (§ 267-37), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated.
No person shall make a U-turn on any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule V (§ 267-38), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a turn of the kind designated (left, right, all) at any of the locations described in Schedule VI (§ 267-39), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a right turn when facing a steady red signal (stop indication) at any of the locations described in Schedule VII (§ 267-40), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VIII (§ 267-41), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as through streets. Stop signs shall be installed on the near right side of each street intersecting the through street except where yield signs are provided for in the designations.
The intersections described in Schedule IX (§ 267-42), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as stop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The intersections described in Schedule X (§ 267-43), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as yield intersections. Yield signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The lane locations described in Schedule XI (§ 267-44), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as lane use reservations, and traffic shall move only as indicated.
No-passing zones are hereby established and shall be maintained along those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XII (§ 267-45), attached to and made a part of this chapter, as authorized by the New Jersey Department of Transportation in accordance with the sketch dated and numbered as indicated.
Trucks in excess of the gross weights indicated are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIII (§ 267-46), except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets.
No vehicle other than police, fire, ambulance or emergency vehicles shall travel in or upon the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIV (§ 267-47), attached to and made a part of this chapter.

A. 
At no time shall a driver of any motor vehicle leave a public roadway and pass through a public or private property for the purpose of avoiding an intersection or traffic control device at an intersection or otherwise use the private or public property to bypass the public roadway.
B. 
Every person convicted of a violation of this provision shall be liable to a penalty as set forth in § 267-3 of the Monroe Township Code, entitled "Violations and penalties."

The following locations are hereby designated as speed hump zones and will have installed speed humps, traffic pavement markings and signage, including advisory speed plates, in accordance with the provisions set forth in the recommended Practice of the Institute of Transportation Engineers "Guidelines for the Design and Application of Speed Humps." The designated speed hump zones are set forth in Article VI, Schedule XXVIII: Traffic Calming Devices.

No person shall make a left turn at any of the locations described in Schedule XXIX (§ 267-58.4), attached to and made a part of this chapter.

The following requirements must be satisfied for the installation of an in-street pedestrian crossing sign:
A. 
All in-street pedestrian crossing signs shall be compliant with the latest edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
B. 
The R1-6a "Stop for Pedestrian" sign shall be used.
C. 
The in-street pedestrian crossing sign shall not be used at signalized intersections.
D. 
Signs shall only be installed in central business areas or other areas with significant pedestrian activity.
E. 
Posted speeds along the roadway shall not exceed 35 miles per hour.
F. 
The sign's system, sign and support shall be no wider than 14 inches.
G. 
There shall be a minimum clear roadway width of 24 feet.
H. 
In-street pedestrian crossing signs shall only be used at marked crosswalks.
I. 
If the device is attached to the pavement, it should be removable sleeve, lag screws, epoxy, etc., such that it can be removed for seasonal (snow removal) or other maintenance purposes.
J. 
No signs may be physically attached to any state highway without NJDOT authorization.
K. 
The signs shall only be installed on sections of roadway which have a no-passing zone approaching the sign location from each direction of travel. A passing zone may exist once the motorist has passed the sign.
L. 
The signs shall not be installed on one-way roadways, divided roadways, or roadways with two-way left-turn lanes.
M. 
The in-street pedestrian crossing signs shall not:
(1) 
Contain metal, wood or other inflexible material or have sharp edges.
(2) 
Disintegrate or destruct upon impact so that it, or any of its component parts, becomes a projectile.
(3) 
Be located where it will adversely affect the turning radius of motor vehicles.
