No person acting in his or her own behalf or
in behalf of any other person shall refuse to enter into any transaction
relating to any space used or designed for use of human habitation
located in the Township of Montclair involving the sale, lease, assignment,
sublease, subassignment or transfer of any right or interest therein,
or agreement to enter into any of the foregoing, by reason of the
race, religion, color or national origin of any participant or prospective
participant in any such transaction.
No person shall, in the negotiating of any such
transaction, differentiate in the terms, conditions, privileges, facilities
or services offered to any participant or prospective participant
by reason of his or her race, religion, color or national origin.
No person shall, for the purpose of preventing
or deterring any other person from negotiating or entering into any
such transaction, intentionally withhold information concerning, misrepresent
any information concerning or prevent any inspection of any property
at the time being bona fide offered for sale or lease, by reason of
the race, religion, color or national origin of any prospective participant.
No person shall refuse to make any loan or mortgage or differentiate in the terms or conditions offered or negotiated therefor with respect to any place of human habitation specified in §
190-22 of this article, by reason of the race, religion, color or national origin of any borrower or prospective borrower.
No person shall knowingly acquiesce, instruct or direct any other person to do any of the acts prohibited in §§
190-22,
190-23,
190-24 and
190-25 above, in his or her behalf or for his or her benefit.
The Building Inspector of the Township of Montclair
shall deliver a copy of this article and any amendments or supplements
thereto to each person to whom a building permit or certificate of
occupancy is issued on or after the effective date hereof.
